DREAM BIG, ACHIEVE MORE!

Principal’s Message:

At Hoover we encourage all of our students to “Dream Big, Achieve More!”

I encourage all of our students to strive to do their very best everyday, build lasting relationships, and be engaged in all activities.

At Hoover we believe all students should be respectful, responsible, and engaged everyday! As a reminder, all of our students have had their expectations assemblies held this past week. Students are expected to be in class on time everyday and follow our new cell phone and electronics policy. Violations of these policies will lead to consequences. If you have not signed the Student Handbook Acknowledgement, please do so by clicking HERE

Today marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month. During this month we pay tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society. At Hoover, 25% of our students are of Hispanic heritage. To celebrate, this Thursday at lunch we will have a special presentation for all students.

The first grading period ends this Friday, September 20. Please make sure your child has completed all work and is receiving support from their teachers if needed.

Our Fall athletics season has officially begun! Please support our Boys Waterpolo, Football, Girls Volleyball, Girls Tennis, and Cross Country teams throughout the season!!

Additionally, please continue to support our award winning Hoover Tornado Marching Band and our championship Pep Team.

Please save the date of Monday, September 16, 2024, as this is the first Coffee with the Principal at 8:30 AM. I typically hold a Tea with the Principal at 5:30 as well, but this month there is a District wide event. This month there will only be Coffee with the Principal. Each month, I host a forum for parents to hear about exciting Hoover highlights. This month I will share our WASC accreditation timeline for this year, as we are set for our visit in March, along with reviewing Goal #1, how our school continues to serve as a professional learning community. Further, I will review our attendance date. The meetings take place in room 12101, I look forward to seeing you then!

As a reminder to all students and families, at Hoover we promote a safe and inclusive environment for all students and staff. We have no tolerance for any hate speech or hurtful language. Any students using such language will receive serious consequences.

As always, Tornados are Responsible, Respectful, and Engaged!
