Work Permit Coordinator

- During the regular year, when school is in session, all work permit requests will be processed by the counseling office in 3-5 days except during summer, winter, Thanksgiving, and spring break.
- Please complete the State of California Work Permit Application. See instructions below.
- Once completed, you may email it along with all the required documents to Ms. Araxi at adertavitian@gusd.net.
- You may also take care of this in the counseling office.
Work Permit Instructions:
- Please complete the top portion of the Work Permit Application with your personal and school information and have your Parent/Guardian sign the application.
- Your employer must complete and sign the Employer section of the form.
- When completed by all parties, please scan and email the form along with a copy of your Student ID or State issued ID to Mrs. Araxi. Please include your cell phone number in your email.
- Once received, we will issue your work permit. Please allow at least 3-5 school days to process the work permit application.
Note: To be issued a work permit, you must be in good standing with grades, attendance, behavior and be on track for graduation. Please see your counselor if you have any questions.
Important Reminders:
- During any school break (summer, Thanksgiving, winter, spring), please email the Work Permit Application along with a copy of your current Student ID or State issued ID to the GUSD's CTE office, cte@gusd.net for issuance.
- All permits are handled by the district CTE office during break.
