Hello my wonderful seniors!

I cannot believe that your graduation is just around the corner. 12th grade year is so exciting, especially when you attend all the senior events, earn scholarships, apply to colleges, and so much more. I love helping my students succeed in school. Please reach out if you need to talk to me. Maybe you are not happy with your grades? Perhaps you feel stuck or stressed out? I am here to help you manage any challenge. I cannot wait for us to work together and help you meet your goals and plan for your future.

If you would like to schedule a meeting, book an appointment on the "You Can Book Me" calendar below. If you would like a Zoom or a call back, please email me, so I can take care of your request. NOTE: Counselors are on summer break and will open their appointment calendar on August 1st.

Students, if you are not enrolled in my Google Classroom Class of 2024 (maybe you are unenrolled or are new to the school), email me so I can add you.

About Me

Lola Puppy Training School

I'm a proud mom of 2 great guys! My oldest saves lives along with other brave emergency responders. He graduated from GHS, went to college & entered the workforce. My youngest graduated from Granada Hills Charter HS and UCLA School of Engineering. Both attended GUSD schools and have fond memories of Cerritos & Roosevelt. As a GUSD employee and parent during those years, I was very happy to be part of the school community.

My career at GUSD began over 28 years ago as an ed assistant at Cerritos. Soon, I became a teacher and loved all my students and families. I still keep in touch with many of them! My first role as a school counselor began at Hoover after being an intern in the counseling department. I have also worked at GHS and Roosevelt. I have a B.A. from Cal State LA, an M.S. in School Counseling from National University, an M.A. in Educational Administration from CSUN as well as my teaching and PPS credentials.

I love partnering and building relationships with students, families, teachers, and staff to help our students achieve their academic, career, social, emotional, and personal goals. My mantra is to say "YES" to more happy moments while helping teenagers along their way. In my spare time, I love hanging out with my family & taking care of Lola, our adorable and playful Labrador.

When school is in session, students must book a meeting during snack, lunch, or after school if they are not with their parents/guardians to ensure you are in class. If the matter cannot wait, you may also ask your teacher if it's okay to go to the counseling office with a pass.
