About Me

Lola Puppy Training School

I am a proud mom of two wonderful sons. My eldest son, a graduate of GHS, is a dedicated emergency responder, working alongside other brave individuals to save lives. My youngest son graduated from Granada Hills HS and is an engineer. Both of my sons attended GUSD schools and have fond memories of their time at Cerritos and Roosevelt.

My career with GUSD started over 28 years ago as an educational assistant at Cerritos. Soon after, started teaching and developed lasting bonds with many students and their families. I still keep in touch with many of them today!

My first role as a school counselor began at Hoover, following an internship in the counseling department. Since then, I have also worked at GHS and Roosevelt. I hold a B.A. from Cal State LA, an M.S. in School Counseling from National University, an M.A. in Educational Administration from CSUN, along with teaching and PPS credentials.

I am passionate about partnering and building relationships with students, families, teachers, and staff to help our students reach their academic, career, social, emotional, and personal goals. My mantra is to embrace more happy moments while supporting teenagers along the way. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family and taking care of our adorable and playful Labrador, Lola.
