Principal’s Message:
What an exciting week around Tornado Alley! Our students were so engaged and came out to many events throughout our BGD Spirit Week. The events culminated with the Class of 2024 being named the winner of the BGD competition. Congrats to our Seniors! Of course,
congratulations to our football team on their big win to bring the Bell back to it's rightful place here at Hoover High for the first time since 2017.
All together, the energy and enthusiasm students are demonstrating every day is what helps make Hoover a special place for all students.
After such a busy week, we get a little break, but we do have some exciting activities taking place in the weeks ahead!
At Hoover we are committed to providing great opportunities for students to be engaged because we know if students look forward to coming to school everyday, they are more likely to achieve in and out of the classroom.
With the end of the semester quickly approaching, students are reminded to continue to work hard in class. We have tutoring opportunities for students along with our enrichment schedule that provides targeted intervention for students who need the additional support. Please do not wait until the very end to ask for clarification, get the support you need, and complete all work. We want all our students to achieve academic success!

DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION ESSAY CONTEST:
I would like to invite your students to participate in the Daughters of the American Revolution Essay contest. Each year the daughters choose
essay winners for our chapter, we invite each winner to read their essay at our chapter meeting. Chapter winners are then entered for the state competition, the state winners are invited to the state conference to read their essay.
Each state enters their essay winners into the national essay competition, the winning essay writers are invited to read their essay in Constitution Hall in Washington DC at The Daughters of the American Revolution Headquarters during Continental Congress the following year in June.
Deadline for essay submission is November 6th 2023. If you are interested please see Dr. Spurley.
