DREAM BIG, ACHIEVE MORE!

Principal’s Message:

This year has passed so quickly!!! We are proud of all our students for all their dedication, respect, responsibility, and engagement throughout the year!!! A special congratulations to our Seniors who will be graduating this Wednesday! We wish them all the best as they embark on their next chapter, and we remind them that Hoover will always be a place where they can remember all the great memories from their four years! Once a Tornado, always a Tornado!

Our last day of school is Wednesday, June 11, 2025, which is also a minimum day.

Graduation for the Class of 2025 will take place on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, beginning at 6:00 PM.

At Hoover we encourage all of our students to “Dream Big, Achieve More!”

I encourage all of our students to strive to do their very best everyday, build lasting relationships, and be engaged in all activities.

Summer School 2025 is around the corner! Click the link for details: https://secure.smore.com/n/vcqft.

Every week we hear from our Seniors about the universities they have gotten into. Several have gotten into the college of their dreams! We are so proud of our Seniors!

At Hoover we believe all students should be respectful, responsible, and engaged everyday! Students are expected to be in class on time everyday and follow our new cell phone and electronics policy. Violations of these policies will lead to consequences.

At Hoover, we continue to promote a College-Going Culture. Our mission is to ensure that all students graduate meeting the minimum requirements for college access. This will be accomplished through increasing access to rigorous course offerings and promoting academic engagement.

We are proud to share with our Hoover Community that we received our official Accreditation from the WASC Commission, which granted Hoover a six year Accreditation, which is a full Accreditation status!!! Congratulations to our students, Faculty, our families, and the alger Hoover Community for this achievement!!!

As a reminder to all students and families, at Hoover we promote a safe and inclusive environment for all students and staff. We have no tolerance for any hate speech or hurtful language. Any students using such language will receive serious consequences.

As always, Tornados are Responsible, Respectful, and Engaged!

Seniors! Final transcripts must be ordered via Parchment as they will NOT be sent for you automatically. Click HERE to go to the Parchment website and follow the steps to order. You have to make an account using your personal email (not your school email) so you can still use it after you graduate. When you order, make sure to choose “Hold for final grades.” 📌 If you used the Common App: You must go to the registrar and pay in person for each school you applied to. Mrs. Araxi sends out 3 transcripts during the year, but you only need to pay once per school. That one-time payment includes your final transcript. Questions? Go see Mrs. Araxi or our registrar in the counseling office!

Attention Rising Seniors Taking a College Class This Fall! If you are planning to have only 4 classes at Hoover plus 1 college class during your senior year (totalling the 5 mandatory classes seniors must take if on track for graduation), you must enroll in at least one 3-unit GCC college class (Dual Enrollment or JumpStart) for the Fall 2025 semester.

What You Need to Do:

  • Enroll in a 3-unit college class through GCC Dual Enrollment or JumpStart (opens June 2nd).

  • Submit proof of enrollment by June 16, 2025 at 4:00 PM.

  • Upload a screenshot of your GCC class schedule to this form (Mrs. Hernandez will not accept emails): https://forms.gle/Hx181kc9ysg6KHVz5

Your screenshot must clearly show:

  • Your name

  • The class you're enrolled in

  • That the class is 3+ units

  • That it's for Fall 2025

If you do not submit proof by the deadline, a 5th period class will be added to your Hoover schedule. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Hernandez.
