Principal’s Message:
We are in the final stretch of the school year!!
Over these next few days we will celebrate the Class of 2025! As a reminder to all Seniors, grades will be submitted on Thursday, June 5, 2025.
Our last day of school is Wednesday, June 11, 2025, which is also a minimum day.
Graduation for the Class of 2025 will take place on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, beginning at 6:00 PM.
At Hoover we encourage all of our students to “Dream Big, Achieve More!”
I encourage all of our students to strive to do their very best everyday, build lasting relationships, and be engaged in all activities.
Summer School 2025 is around the corner! Ms. Iraheta has shared a counseling newsletter with everything you need to know about summer school. Click the link for details: https://secure.smore.com/n/vcqft.
Every week we hear from our Seniors about the universities they have gotten into. Several have gotten into the college of their dreams! We are so proud of our Seniors!
At Hoover we believe all students should be respectful, responsible, and engaged everyday! Students are expected to be in class on time everyday and follow our new cell phone and electronics policy. Violations of these policies will lead to consequences.
At Hoover, we continue to promote a College-Going Culture. Our mission is to ensure that all students graduate meeting the minimum requirements for college access. This will be accomplished through increasing access to rigorous course offerings and promoting academic engagement.
We are proud to share with our Hoover Community that we received our official Accreditation from the WASC Commission, which granted Hoover a six year Accreditation, which is a full Accreditation status!!! Congratulations to our students, Faculty, our families, and the alger Hoover Community for this achievement!!!
Attendance is important!!! We know that when students are in school, students achieve! We highly encourage any appointments to be scheduled outside of school hours so as not to miss instruction. However, if your child has an appointment, please ensure that your child still attends school outside of their appointment time, even if they are only able to attend some periods. We want to see your child every day even if it is only a portion of the school day. Please call an administrator for any questions.
As a reminder to all students and families, at Hoover we promote a safe and inclusive environment for all students and staff. We have no tolerance for any hate speech or hurtful language. Any students using such language will receive serious consequences.
As always, Tornados are Responsible, Respectful, and Engaged!

Final Course Request Review for 2025-2026: From June 4th to June 13th, families can review their student’s course requests in the Student and Parent Portals. This is the final chance to make sure everything is correct.
During Student Connect, counselors will explain the process, what can and cannot be changed, and review common scheduling issues like:
Incorrect level placement in math or world language
PE instead of a sport for student-athletes
Missing classes or too many/few classes for grades 9-11
Please Note:
If you have your 2nd or 3rd choice elective instead of your 1st choice, that is not an error.
If you never submitted an elective form, an available elective was added for you, which is also not an error.
All rising 9th-11th graders must have 6 classes; seniors on track may have 5 if one is a college class.
Seniors planning to have a college class as their 5th class MUST submit proof of enrollment in the college class by June 16 @ 4:00 PM or a 5th Hoover class will be added to their schedule, no exceptions.
Proof must be submitted to this Google Form (emails will not be accepted): https://forms.gle/iaJe9JwL2VTZwUNx9
No zero period classes will be offered.
If you spot an error, fill out the Google Form that will be posted in your Counselor’s Google Classroom on Wednesday morning. Counselors will also offer extra appointments on June 12th and 13th, when there is no school for students.
Summer School 2025 is around the corner! Need info on start dates, schedules, Chromebooks, or attendance rules? We've got you covered! Check out the Counseling Newsletter for everything you need to know: https://secure.smore.com/n/vcqft.
Hey Seniors! Final transcripts must be ordered via Parchment as they will NOT be sent for you automatically. Click HERE to go to the Parchment website and follow the steps to order. You have to make an account using your personal email (not your school email) so you can still use it after you graduate. When you order, make sure to choose “Hold for final grades.” 📌 If you used the Common App: You must go to the registrar and pay in person for each school you applied to. Mrs. Araxi sends out 3 transcripts during the year, but you only need to pay once per school. That one-time payment includes your final transcript. Questions? Go see Mrs. Araxi or our registrar in the counseling office!
Q Connection & Student/Parent Portal: Download Important Documents - Need access to your transcripts, progress reports, semester report cards, and more? You can download them anytime through your Student or Parent Portal. Please see the flyer below for step-by-step instructions.
