DREAM BIG, ACHIEVE MORE!

Principal’s Message:

This Quarter we celebrate the Class of 2025! Throughout the next few weeks, we will highlight all of the Senior activities quickly approaching. As a reminder to all Seniors, grades will be submitted on Thursday, June 5, 2025.

At Hoover we encourage all of our students to “Dream Big, Achieve More!”

I encourage all of our students to strive to do their very best everyday, build lasting relationships, and be engaged in all activities.

This week we kick off the celebrations for the Class of 2025!! We will be honoring over 200 of our Seniors at Awards Night on Wednesday, and then Prom 2025 is on Friday!! We look forward to celebrating all of our Seniors over the next few weeks leading up to Graduation on June 11.

Every week we hear from our Seniors about the universities they have gotten into. Several have gotten into the college of their dreams! We are so proud of our Seniors! We will be celebrating all of our Seniors at Decision Day 2025 later in May!!

At Hoover we believe all students should be respectful, responsible, and engaged everyday! Students are expected to be in class on time everyday and follow our new cell phone and electronics policy. Violations of these policies will lead to consequences.

At Hoover, we continue to promote a College-Going Culture. Our mission is to ensure that all students graduate meeting the minimum requirements for college access. This will be accomplished through increasing access to rigorous course offerings and promoting academic engagement.

We are proud to share with our Hoover Community that we received our official Accreditation from the WASC Commission, which granted Hoover a six year Accreditation, which is a full Accreditation status!!! Congratulations to our students, Faculty, our families, and the alger Hoover Community for this achievement!!!

Attendance is important!!! We know that when students are in school, students achieve! We highly encourage any appointments are scheduled outside of school hours so as not to miss instruction. However, if your child has an appointment, please ensure that your child still attends school outside of their appointment time, even if they are only able to attend some periods. We want to see your child every day even if it is only a portion of the school day. Please call an administrator for any questions.

As a reminder to all students and families, at Hoover we promote a safe and inclusive environment for all students and staff. We have no tolerance for any hate speech or hurtful language. Any students using such language will receive serious consequences.

As always, Tornados are Responsible, Respectful, and Engaged!

Seniors, the GUSD mandatory exit Senior Survey was due last week. Be sure you got it done as it is one of the senior exit graduation requirements. In order to pick up your cap and gown, the survey must have been submitted by the deadline.

Are you planning to try out for a sport next year? Tryouts will take place this summer. Check out the schedule below. Important! You must bring a completed Tryout Waiver Form on the day of the tryouts to participate. No Exceptions! Need more info? Hey Seniors! Final transcripts must be ordered via Parchment as they will NOT be sent for you automatically. Click HERE to go to the Parchment website and follow the steps to order. You have to make an account using your personal email (not your school email) so you can still use it after you graduate. When you order, make sure to choose “Hold for final grades.” 📌 If you used the Common App: You must go to the registrar and pay in person for each school you applied to. Mrs. Araxi sends out 3 transcripts during the year, but you only need to pay once per school. That one-time payment includes your final transcript. Questions? Go see Mrs. Araxi or our registrar in the counseling office!

Summer School 2025 - Double Check Your Enrollment regularly! Counselors automatically enroll students in summer if they earned an “F” grade in a graduation required class. Our goal is to ensure that students earn their high school diploma and graduate with their class on time! To check your summer school schedule, log in to your Student or Parent Portal.
