📋 Now Available: If your student is taking summer school at Hoover, you can now view their summer school course request (course title only) in the Student and/or Parent Portal.
📅 Full schedules will be available on Monday, June 9th in the Student and Parent Portal.
This includes teacher names and room numbers.
👀 Second Semester Begins Monday, July 7: If your student is only enrolled in a second semester class and does not have a first semester course, they should report to Hoover on Monday, July 7th, not on the first day of summer school.
- For example, students retaking a class originally taken during the second semester (like English 9-2, World History 2, or Integrated Math IIB) will begin on July 7.
-
Incoming 9th graders enrolled in intervention math or English may have the class during semester 1 or 2 — so it's especially important to check the schedule closely.
- Please log in to the Student or Parent Portal to double-check your student’s schedule and avoid any first-day confusion.
✅ Important Reminder: Be sure to check your final schedule again on Monday morning, June 16th before coming to school and again on Monday, July 7th. Schedules may change due to second semester grades, class size adjustments, or other factors.
📸 Double-checking your portal before coming to school on the first day matters! If you take a screenshot of your schedule, it must match what’s in the portal on Monday morning, June 16th. If not, your teacher will have to redirect you to the correct class.
🌐 Click HERE and visit our Summer School page for more information.
📩 Questions? If you have questions about your class, please wait until Friday and then contact your summer school teacher directly.

✅ First Day Attendance is Mandatory! Students must be present on Monday, June 16th. If you do not attend the first day, you will be dropped from summer school.
📆 Students are allowed up to 3 absences. Missing more than 3 days will result in being dropped from the class and not receiving credit.
