Principal’s Message:
This Quarter we celebrate the Class of 2025! Throughout the next few weeks, we will highlight all of the Senior activities quickly approaching. As a reminder to all Seniors, grades will be submitted on Thursday, June 5, 2025.
At Hoover we encourage all of our students to “Dream Big, Achieve More!”
I encourage all of our students to strive to do their very best everyday, build lasting relationships, and be engaged in all activities.
Every week we hear from our Seniors about the universities they have gotten into. Several have gotten into the college of their dreams! We are so proud of our Seniors! We will be celebrating all of our Seniors at Decision Day 2025 later in May!!
At Hoover we believe all students should be respectful, responsible, and engaged everyday! Students are expected to be in class on time everyday and follow our new cell phone and electronics policy. Violations of these policies will lead to consequences.
At Hoover, we continue to promote a College-Going Culture. Our mission is to ensure that all students graduate meeting the minimum requirements for college access. This will be accomplished through increasing access to rigorous course offerings and promoting academic engagement.
Our Intermediate Art Show will take place in the Hoover Art Gallery on Thursday, May 1. I have seen a sneak peak at some of the amazing art that will be on display! You will not want to miss this!!!
Attendance is important!!! We know that when students are in school, students achieve! I want to share with our Hoover Community that our attendance data does not reflect our shared commitment to ensuring students are in school everyday. We need your help!!! We highly encourage any appointments are scheduled outside of school hours so as not to miss instruction. However, if your child has an appointment, please ensure that your child still attends school outside of their appointment time, even if they are only able to attend some periods. We want to see your child every day even if it is only a portion of the school day. Please call an administrator for any questions.
As our Spring Season comes to end, we encourage all of our students to support our Softball, Baseball, Boys and Girls Track, Boys and Girls Swim, Boys Volleyball, and Boys Tennis programs during their season. Additionally, please continue to support our Award winning Hoover Tornado Marching Band, Choir, and Pep programs as they continue to compete and represent Hoover!
As a reminder to all students and families, at Hoover we promote a safe and inclusive environment for all students and staff. We have no tolerance for any hate speech or hurtful language. Any students using such language will receive serious consequences.
As always, Tornados are Responsible, Respectful, and Engaged!

AP Testing Prep Reminder! AP exams are just around the corner! Make sure you’re reviewing key concepts, practicing past free-response questions, and getting plenty of rest. Create a study schedule, focus on your weak areas, and don’t forget to bring your pencils, calculator (if needed), and a positive mindset. Check out your counselor’s Google Classroom post which includes the AP schedule, testing room locations, and other important information for AP Testing. You've got this—finish strong! 💪📚✨
Seniors, the mandatory exit Senior Survey will be posted as an assignment by your English teacher in their Google Classroom this week. You must complete and submit the survey by the deadline as it is one of the senior exit graduation requirements. To complete the survey, be sure to talk to your English teacher, especially if you are not able to access it. Once again, the survey is mandatory.
Hey Seniors! Final transcripts must be ordered via Parchment as they will NOT be sent for you automatically. Click HERE to go to the Parchment website and follow the steps to order. You have to make an account using your personal email (not your school email) so you can still use it after you graduate. When you order, make sure to choose “Hold for final grades.” 📌 If you used the Common App: You must go to the registrar and pay in person for each school you applied to. Mrs. Araxi sends out 3 transcripts during the year, but you only need to pay once per school. That one-time payment includes your final transcript. Questions? Go see Mrs. Araxi or our registrar in the counseling office!
Students, can’t fit all the classes you want to take into your schedule for next year? We are now offering zero period for SOME classes: World History, US History, and possibly PE (10th-12th). Zero period meets every day, Monday-Friday, from 7:30 am - 8:30 am. If you are interested in signing up, please email your counselor no later than Friday, May 2nd, by 3:00 pm. Priority will be given to students who plan on taking 7 classes total, periods 0-6.
