Quick Reminders:
My name is Ms. Iraheta and I am a proud mom of two wonderful sons. My oldest son, a graduate of Glendale High School, is a dedicated emergency responder, working alongside other brave individuals to save lives. My youngest graduated from UCLA and is now an engineer. Both of my sons attended Glendale schools and have fond memories of their time at Cerritos, Roosevelt, and Glendale High.
My career in education began in Glendale and before becoming a counselor, I served as an educational assistant and then as a classroom teacher at Cerritos Elementary School, years filled with beautiful memories I continue to cherish.
My journey into school counseling began at Hoover, where I completed both my internship and Administrative Fieldwork. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for supporting students in the areas of academics, college, career, and social-emotional development. Counseling became the perfect match for me, and I’ve been proud to serve students ever since. In addition to Hoover, I’ve also worked as a counselor at Glendale High School and Roosevelt Middle School. I returned to Hoover in 2017 and look forward to many more rewarding years as a Tornado.
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree and teaching credential from Cal State Los Angeles. I later earned Master’s Degrees in School Counseling from National University and in Educational Administration from CSUN, along with my PPS credentials.
I am deeply committed to helping students reach their goals and their highest potential. My mantra is to embrace life’s happy moments while helping teenagers along the way. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and our playful Labrador, Lola, she’s the highlight of our day!
