About Me

Lola Puppy Training School

I am a proud mom of two wonderful sons. My eldest son, a graduate of GHS, is a dedicated emergency responder, working alongside other brave individuals to save lives. My youngest graduated from UCLA and is now an engineer. Both of my sons attended GUSD schools and have fond memories of their time at Cerritos and Roosevelt.

My career with GUSD began 30 years ago as an educational assistant at Cerritos. Soon after, I started teaching, developing lasting bonds with many students and their families – relationships I still cherish today!

My first role as a school counselor began at Hoover following an internship in the counseling department. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of supporting students at GHS and Roosevelt. I hold a B.A. from Cal State LA, an M.S. in School Counseling from National University, and an M.A. in Educational Administration from CSUN, along with teaching and PPS credentials.

I am passionate about building relationships with students, families, and staff to help our students reach their academic, career, and personal goals. My mantra is to embrace life’s happy moments while helping teenagers along the way.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and taking care of our playful Labrador, Lola – she’s the highlight of our day!
