📆 Students are allowed up to 3 absences. Missing more than 3 days will result in being dropped from the class and not receiving credit.
⏰ Keep in mind: One day of summer school = One week of regular school. Daily attendance is critical for earning credit.

When do I report to Hoover if I only have a one-semester class? Most students are enrolled in both semesters of summer school. However, if you only have one class, check your Student or Parent Portal to see which semester it's scheduled for:
If your class is in Semester 1, report to Hoover on June 15 and finish on July 1.
If your class is in Semester 2, report to Hoover on July 6, the first day of second semester and finish on July 21.
Always double-check your schedule in the portal to make sure
you arrive on the correct start date!
What if I need to add/drop a class? Email your grade-level counselor (see contact list at the bottom of this FAQ). Please note that counselors are off during the summer and may have delayed responses. Be sure to read their auto-reply message.
For immediate help, please go to the summer school office, Student Services, to see Mrs. Hrachik, Mrs. Rita, or Dr. Keuroghlian.
