Good Evening Seniors and Families,
We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2025!
This letter contains important information regarding all of our Senior Week Activities along with Graduation details. Please read all of the information and if you have any questions please contact your counselor, Ms. Araxi, or your Assistant Principal, Mr. Yahiayan.
All seniors must return their textbooks, Chromebooks, and chargers to the Collaboratory according to the following schedule, based on last name:
8:30 AM – 10:30 AM: Last names A–L
10:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Last names M–Z
After returning all materials, students will receive a ticket to pick up their Cap & Gown in Room 12101.
Students who pre-ordered a cap and gown may pick them up in Room 12101 between 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM.
Students who did not pre-order may purchase a cap and gown on-site for $50. Please note that colors (white or purple) and sizes are limited and not guaranteed.
6/6/25- Senior Sunset
6:00-9:00 PM on the Hoover Football Field
FREE entry for all Seniors, you may bring money for food available for purchase at the food trucks (enter at Olmstead Gate)
Only Hoover Seniors allowed at the event
All school rules apply
6/8/25- Baccalaureate
4:00-5:00 PM at St. Marks Church, please arrive by 3:30 to line up
Seniors will wear their Graduation Gown (no cap)
The Baccalaureate Ceremony is to honor the accomplishments of our Senior Class and wish them well in their future endeavors
No cost for this event
6/9/25- Grad Walk
Seniors will meet in the Auditorium at 8:30 AM
Seniors will wear their graduation gown (no cap)
Seniors will walk to Keppel and then Toll, where they will be celebrated by their former teachers and students at Keppel and Toll
6/11/25 - Graduation Practice (Required)
All graduates must meet in the Hoover Auditorium by 8:30 AM
Graduates may dress casually for the practice. We highly recommend graduates bring water and sun-protective attire as we will be on the field
Graduation practice is a mandatory event
Graduation Tickets:
Four (4) free Graduation tickets, along with any tickets purchased will be provided to students after the graduation practice
6/11/25 - Graduation!!!
Graduation is a special occasion where we have the privilege to celebrate the incredible accomplishments of the Class of 2025. Hoover is committed to ensuring that the event is memorable for all graduates and their families. Please read carefully the following guidelines and reminders.
Wednesday, June 11th, beginning sharply at 6:00 PM on the Hoover Football Field
Graduates must arrive at the Hoover Auditorium through the front doors on Glenwood by 5:00pm
All Graduates must be in Cap and Gown, and dressed appropriately. Graduation is a Semi-Formal Attire event. We highly recommend NO jeans, sneakers, t-shirts, etc.
Any clothing which violates District guidelines or policy is strictly prohibited
Any items which are in violation of District Policy (weapons, drugs, etc.) are strictly prohibited
Any graduate found in possession of a prohibited item is subject to school disciplinary action up to and including removal from the Graduation Ceremony
Parents and Guests:
Gates will open at 5:00 PM and all parents and guests are expected to be seated prior to the Processional March beginning at 5:55 PM
You may not reserve seats for others
To assist with entry, Hoover provides three (3) gates available for parents and guests to enter from
Only guests with a valid Graduation Ticket will be allowed entry
There are NO RE-ENTRIES. Once guests have entered the campus you may not leave and re-enter
Entry Gates:
Gate 1: the front entrance gate located on Glenwood Road. Guests who enter will be directed up the Tennis Court Ramp towards the Football Field
Gate 2: Located on Olmstead at the top of the stairs leading down to the Football Field. Guests will line up down the West side of Olmstead (toward Virginia Street)
Gate 3: Located on the corner of Olmstead and School Street at the Hoover Baseball Field. Guests will line up down the West side of Olmstead
Parking:
Parking in the Staff Lot is on a first-come-first-served basis, while space is available, and costs $15 (CASH ONLY). Parking in the lot is located off of School Street in the main Faculty Lot. The parking lot will open at 4:45 PM. Guests who park in the lot will be directed up the Tennis Court Ramp towards the Football Field
NEW: This year we will also be providing parking, on a first-come-first-served basis at Toll Middle School off the Concord Lot, while space is available. The cost is $15 (CASH ONLY). Families who park at Toll will cross the street and enter through the front gates and then proceed up the Tennis Court Ramp towards the Football Field
For guests who have a valid Disabled Placard, you may park in the Building 13 Parking Lot, half way down School Street, just past the Baseball Field. Please show your placard to the security present
You may also find any available street parking. Please be sure to follow all posted parking signs. Also, as a reminder, please be kind and respectful to all of our Hoover neighbors!
Concessions:
Hoover will provide a concession stand during the Graduation Ceremony. The concession stand is located next to the Football Field stands and is accessible from all three gates. Water and snacks will be available for purchase. CASH ONLY
Prohibited Items:
Air horns or other distracting noisemakers
Alcohol/drugs including vapes
Fireworks
Laser pointers
Umbrellas
Balloons
This list is not all inclusive of all prohibited items. Any guest found in possession of any prohibited items may be subject to removal from the Graduation Ceremony
After the Graduation:
After the ceremonies have concluded, you may join your graduate on the Football Field to take pictures. We ask that you follow all directions of staff and security to ensure the safety of all students and guests
6/12/25-6/13/25 - Diploma Pick-Up
Students may pick up their High School Diploma on Thursday, June 12, or Friday, June 13, between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM at the front school gate on Glenwood. Students must be present with a valid School or CA ID
