Principal’s Message:
This past week we celebrated Hoover’s inclusive and welcoming environment for all students with our Solidarity Week. Thank you to all the students and teachers who helped make the activities great for all students.
This week, Hoover will have our first annual College Week. Each day there is a college related activity. The schedule for college events are listed on the graphic below. At Hoover, staff are committed to preparing all students to be college-ready. The college your child attends is a family decision, but we believe strongly that all options should be available to your child to make an informed decision. For Seniors applying to college, please remember that the deadline for UC and CSU schools is November 30th.
On Friday we will have a Boost Day. Boost Day is intended to provide students the opportunity to catch up on work or get support from teachers. As part of Boost, we will be celebrating student’s hard work by having a USC vs. UCLA themed tailgate during enrichment and lunch. For this Friday, 2nd period begins at 8:30, with enrichment following 4th period. The schedule is below.
On Monday, I will be hosting our Coffee with the Principal at 8:45 am and a repeat with Tea with the Principal at 5:30 pm. we will be presenting on academic supports we have available for Hoover students including how to check your child’s grades, tutoring supports, and other tips.
